Are you ready to shape the future of data infrastructure at a fast-growing AI robotics company that is already freeing up millions of hours for the insurance industry?
What you bring
We are looking for a Mid-Level Data Engineer to join us full time in a hybrid capacity. You will be our first dedicated data engineer, building the foundation for scalable pipelines, cloud databases, and data-driven decision making across our AI robotics platform. Your work will directly support insurance brokerages and agencies that rely on our automation technology every day. Three core responsibilities include developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines that meet business and industry standards, integrating modern data-management tools into existing frameworks while establishing reliable extraction and transformation routines, and collaborating with architects and analysts to refine data models that power our analytics dashboards. This role is based in Canada.
Requirements
You bring three to six years of professional data-engineering experience and have owned the maintenance and implementation of databases and backends with a focus on efficient data management. You are fluent in Python and SQL, comfortable with cloud platforms such as AWS, and familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices. Experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions, visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI, and version control in Git is expected. You understand ETL best practices, Agile methodologies, and core security principles. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field-or equivalent practical experience-is preferred. Beyond technical skills, you thrive in a fast-paced environment, communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues, and embody our guiding principles of customer focus, curiosity, and excellence in execution.
What we offer
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 to $145,000 CAD annually, along with employee stock options based on experience. Additional benefits include comprehensive health coverage with a Lifestyle Spending Account, four weeks of paid vacation each year, and the freedom to work anywhere in the world for up to 60 days annually.
- Hybrid work model with flexibility for personal needs
- Remote work options for up to 60 days per year
How to Apply
If this opportunity excites you, we encourage you to apply. We value diverse perspectives and welcome candidates who may not meet every single requirement but are eager to grow with us. Please submit your application, and our team will review it promptly.
