We’re Quandri, and we build an AI robotics platform that automates repetitive work inside insurance brokerages and agencies across North America. Our software robots slot into existing systems and handle high-volume tasks at machine speed, freeing people to focus on higher-value work. We’ve raised backing from leading US and Canadian investors, delivered 8× ARR growth last year, and are on track for another 3× this year. We’re now looking for our first Data Engineer to help shape the data foundations that will support this rapid expansion.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that turn raw insurance data into reliable, well-structured assets for analytics and product teams.
- Partner with the Cloud Architect and Head of Data to stand up cloud databases, streamline ETL processes, and keep data accurate, secure, and easy to retrieve.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and data scientists to refine data models, improve dashboards, and turn complex datasets into clear, actionable insights.
Requirements
- Three to six years of hands-on data-engineering experience delivering production data systems.
- Strong command of Python and SQL, plus practical experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proven work owning data-warehouse solutions, building and orchestrating pipelines with tools such as Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions, and applying ETL best practices.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD concepts, and version control in Git, along with a solid grasp of Agile or Scrum ways of working.
- Comfortable presenting technical trade-offs to non-technical colleagues and committed to writing clean, well-documented code.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field-or equivalent professional experience.
What we offer
We offer a salary range of $85,000 to $145,000 CAD per year, along with equity that scales with experience. Additional benefits include comprehensive health coverage with a Lifestyle Spending Account, four weeks of paid vacation annually, and the freedom to work from anywhere in the world for up to 60 days each year. Our hybrid model keeps two-thirds of the team in our Gastown office three days a week while still giving everyone flexibility to balance personal commitments.
