At Govini, we are on a mission to modernize the way the United States approaches defense acquisition. We have moved beyond outdated, manual processes to create a software-driven strategic advantage for the national security community. Our flagship product, Ark, empowers military branches and defense teams by providing the AI-enabled applications and high-quality data they need to field critical capabilities faster than ever before. We are looking for a curious and driven individual to join our team in Arlington, Virginia, and help us turn complex data into actionable insights that shape the future of our nation's security.
The opportunity
As a Data Analyst, you will play a vital role in our mission by performing deep quantitative and qualitative research on issues that directly impact U.S. national security. You will work to identify risks within the defense industrial base, uncover operational inefficiencies, and demonstrate how strategic investments drive performance. This is a chance to influence high-level decision-makers, including the Department of Defense and members of Congress, by translating raw data into compelling narratives and briefings that truly matter.
A day in the life
- You will partner with our marketing team to develop and produce high-quality thought leadership content that highlights our unique analytical perspective.
- You will perform rigorous quantitative and qualitative analyses, utilizing Python, SQL, and data visualization tools to extract meaningful insights from our proprietary data.
- You will communicate your findings through clear, persuasive written papers and presentations that bridge the gap between complex data and real-world national security operations.
Who you are
You are a motivated professional who loves solving complex problems and has a knack for storytelling with data. We are looking for someone who brings a quantitative mindset and a passion for national security.
- You possess proficiency in Python or R, along with a solid working knowledge of SQL.
- You hold a degree in a field such as Business Analytics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or International Security, or you have 1 to 4 years of relevant professional experience.
- You have a demonstrated history of conducting high-quality analysis and presenting it effectively to stakeholders.
- You are a self-starter who can manage multiple projects independently while maintaining excellent communication skills in English.
- You have a strong understanding of defense acquisition processes and federal operations, and any experience with network analytics or a current U.S. security clearance is a significant plus.
Why you'll love it here
We are a team that values performance and impact. If you are someone who thrives when tackling difficult challenges and wants to contribute to global security, you will find a home here. We foster an environment where curiosity is rewarded and your work has a tangible effect on the defense community. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcome all qualified applicants to join us in our mission.
