The opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Customer Marketing Manager to join our team and report directly to our Director of Customer Marketing. In this role, you will be a vital partner in scaling our customer programs to drive adoption, retention, and expansion. You will own the narrative of our customer success stories, turning our users into our most vocal advocates. This is a high-impact position that requires a blend of creative storytelling, strategic project management, and the ability to engage directly with our community. A day in the life
- You will lead our global customer content program by producing compelling case studies, video testimonials, and webinars that highlight the innovative ways our users leverage Kong technology.
- You will manage our customer reference program and maintain a database of success stories, ensuring our sales and customer experience teams have the proof points they need to succeed.
- You will collaborate on customer-focused events and nurture campaigns, including our flagship API Summit, to keep our community engaged and informed.
Who you are
You are a seasoned marketing professional with a passion for building relationships and a knack for translating technical concepts into human stories. You thrive in environments where you can own your projects from start to finish. Our ideal candidate brings the following:
- At least 5 years of marketing experience, with 1 to 3 years specifically focused on customer marketing within the tech industry.
- A strong desire to learn our technical product, with the ability to discuss it confidently with industry professionals within your first few months.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write persuasive copy and interact professionally with executives.
- Proven project management expertise, specifically in managing multiple workstreams and finding creative solutions to complex challenges.
- Proficiency with GTM platforms such as Marketo, Salesforce, Tableau, and Confluence.
- Fluency in English and the flexibility to travel internationally 2 to 5 times per year.
