CPG Freelance Writer at Manufactured

We are seeking talented freelance writers to create insightful, data-driven content on key trends and operational challenges in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, research skills, and the ability to craft compelling narratives around complex topics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and write insightful blogs (1000-2500 words) and more in-depth articles (up to 7000 words) on CPG trends, challenges, strategies, and innovations in product manufacturing
• Cover key CPG verticals including Food, Bverage, Beauty, & Personal Care
• Develop content for blogs, whitepapers, e-books, and opinion pieces that analyze and critique trends, current practices, and new approaches to product manufacturing within the focused vertical
• Highlight inventory management, financing, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and other critical operational issues related to each vertical
• Gather insights from industry experts and synthesize data to offer unique perspectives and demonstrate thought leadership and subject matter expertise
• Tailor the content to our target audience of entrepreneurs, CPG professionals, brand merchants, and other industry leaders scaling their small and medium-sized businesses
• Craft engaging stories that blend business analysis with real-world examples of business success through case studies, business profiles, and industry reports
• Collaborate with our marketing team to align content with overall brand messaging and objectives
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to inform content creation
• Adhere to deadlines and manage multiple writing assignments simultaneously

Ideal Qualifications:

• Strong business writing skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly
• Experience in business journalism, PR, or professional writing for a B2B audience
• Deep understanding of CPG industry dynamics and operations
• Excellent research skills to uncover data, trends, and expert perspectives, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and compellingly.
• Ability to analyze financial and operational data and translate it into actionable insights
• Familiarity with topics like financing, manufacturing, operations, and COGs
• Strong storytelling abilities to craft compelling narratives around business topics
• Professional experience in the field you’re writing about is a plus
