Country Lead at Smarkets

We are currently looking for a motivated professional to join us as a Country Lead for the Swedish market. This is a six-month remote contract position with the possibility of an extension, perfect for someone ready to take ownership of market performance and commercial operations.

Key outcomes

• Oversee daily product operations and manage the successful rollout of updates and new features.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for product-related matters in Sweden, ensuring local insights are communicated effectively to our global teams.
• Monitor and analyze daily key performance indicators to track the health and success of our Swedish operations.
• Utilize data-driven insights to propose and implement enhancements that elevate user experience and platform engagement.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with local partners to drive sustainable growth.
• Proactively identify operational inefficiencies and lead the development of solutions to streamline our processes.

Requirements

• Between 1 and 3 years of professional experience, ideally within the gaming or sports betting sectors.
• Demonstrated history of managing PnL and taking ownership of market outcomes.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to manage complex data sets and a keen eye for detail.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, allowing you to influence both internal teams and external partners.
• Deep knowledge of sports and a passion for the industry.
• Professional proficiency in both English and Swedish.
• Familiarity with our internal toolset, including Jira, Gitlab, Slack, G Suite, DotDigital, Kibana, Sisense, and Lightdash.

Preferred qualifications

• Specific expertise regarding the Swedish market and its unique regulatory landscape.
