What are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced Content Strategist and Writer to join Decentraland’s marketing team and play a key role in our engagement and growth initiatives. This role will own the end-to-end content strategy, research, and writing processes across Decentraland’s marketing channels, including blogs, newsletters, and email automations. With a data-informed approach grounded in SEO and community insights, this role is essential to building and scaling a content ecosystem that drives community growth and aligns with our brand voice.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in content strategy and writing. Familiarity with web3 is ideal, but nor required if you have an interest in the space, are a quick learner, and understand the nuances of building community online. You should be a skilled writer with a strong ability to convey Decentraland's brand voice authentically across multiple platforms, creating meaningful and engaging content for our audience.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Strategy & Planning:Develop and implement a content strategy that aligns with Decentraland’s brand, community needs, and marketing goals.Conduct SEO research and leverage community insights to guide content topics, structure, and delivery formats.Collaborate with marketing, product, and design teams to align content plans with product launches, community events, and strategic campaigns.Research and stay informed of community sentiment, needs, and interests to inform content direction and stay in touch with community values.Content Creation & Management:Write and manage a range of content, including blogs, newsletters, product announcements, and email automation sequences.Ensure all content maintains the Decentraland voice, is engaging and inspiring, and resonates with the community.Manage an editorial calendar and production pipeline, ensuring consistency and timely publication.Strategically repurpose content across different channels (e.g., social media, blog, newsletters) to maximize engagement and extend the lifespan of each piece.Know how to leverage AI tools for ideation, editing, and repurposing while understanding its limitations. SEO & Analytics:Conduct keyword research and apply SEO best practices to drive organic growth and improve visibility across search engines.Track and report on key content metrics, leveraging insights to refine strategies and improve performance.Monitor content performance, conducting regular audits and adjusting strategy based on data and feedback.Skills and Qualifications:
Content Strategy & SEO Mastery: Proven ability to develop and execute content strategies that align with brand goals and SEO best practices.Exceptional Writing Skills: Strong, versatile writer with the ability to adjust tone and style to match Decentraland’s brand voice and represent its unique decentralized ethos, while writing copy that converts.Data-Driven Mindset: Proficiency in analyzing content performance metrics and SEO analytics, using insights to inform strategy and content development.Interest in Web3: A proven interest in understanding web3 and ability to learn quickly. Project Management: Proactive self-starter with strong organizational skills and experience managing editorial calendars, production timelines, and multiple content formats.Native fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.A desire to work with a globally-distributed, fast-moving team!Preferred Experience:
3-5+ years in a content strategy, content writer, SEO analyst, or similar role.Experience working in web3, technology, or gaming sector.Experience with content marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, content management systems).Proven experience crafting and executing content strategies that support business objectives in a high-growth environment.Demonstrated success in engaging and building community through content.What we offer
