Mudflap is looking for a talented and brand-driven Copywriter & Content Marketing Manager who can craft compelling, audience-specific content that speaks directly to the needs, challenges, and aspirations of truck drivers, fleet managers, and the broader trucking community.

This role is all about writing with purpose, clarity, and impact—whether it’s crafting persuasive ad copy, engaging social media posts, high-converting emails, or storytelling-driven blog content. Your ability to immerse yourself in the voice, tone, and world of truckers and fleet operators will be essential in creating content that feels authentic, relatable, and deeply resonant.

You’ll work closely with marketing, product, and customer-facing teams to develop copy that not only reflects Mudflap’s brand identity but also speaks the language of our customers—helping them feel seen, understood, and valued.

This role involves a hybrid work approach, balancing in-office collaboration with the ability to work remotely. 

Expectations (In this role, you will):

  • Develop a deep understanding of our audience — truck drivers and fleet managers — and write in a tone that builds connection and trust
  • Craft clear, engaging, and persuasive copy for a variety of channels, including website pages, email marketing, social media, digital ads, landing pages, and product descriptions
  • Capture and refine Mudflap’s unique brand voice, ensuring consistency across all written communications
  • Translate complex ideas and product features into simple, compelling messaging that resonates with our customers
  • Write high-converting ad copy for paid campaigns across Google, Meta, and other advertising platforms
  • Create compelling storytelling-driven blog content that showcases the lives and challenges of truckers while positioning Mudflap as a trusted partner
  • Develop thought leadership and sales enablement assets (e.g., whitepapers, case studies) to position Mudflap as an industry leader
  • Work cross-functionally with product, sales, and customer success teams to craft messaging that aligns with business goals
  • Continuously refine and test messaging, using customer feedback and engagement data to optimize content for impact
  • Stay ahead of industry trends to identify content opportunities and drive innovation

Experience (What we look for):

  • 3+ years of experience in copywriting, content marketing, or brand storytelling, ideally in a B2B or blue-collar industry
  • Proven ability to write in a brand voice that aligns with a specific customer base (bonus if you have experience writing for industries like trucking, logistics, transportation, or fleet management!)
  • Strong portfolio showcasing persuasive ad copy, website content, email campaigns, and engaging social media writing
  • Experience crafting high-converting messaging for landing pages, ad campaigns, and email sequences
  • Ability to adapt messaging based on audience insights, customer behavior, and brand positioning
  • A deep respect for and ability to connect with blue-collar audiences, using language that is straightforward, clear, and engaging—without feeling forced or overly polished
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally to ensure messaging is aligned across departments
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices to optimize website and blog content

The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000. This information reflects a base salary range for this position based on current market data, which may be subject to change as new market data becomes available. The candidate's skills, experience, and other relevant factors will determine the exact compensation. This position may also be eligible for additional incentives such as equity awards or short-term incentives. Our benefits include medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, WFH stipend and PTO.
