We are currently looking for a passionate Content Executive to join our JD Outdoors team, helping us tell the stories that inspire our community to explore the world around them.
The opportunity
This role is central to how we communicate our brand identity across both physical and digital channels. You will be a key player in shaping our content strategy, working closely with our commercial teams to ensure our outdoor products reach the right audience. Based in our office near Bury, you will join a collaborative environment where your creative input directly influences our campaigns, product launches, and brand partnerships. This is a full-time position that follows a hybrid model, allowing you to balance your time between our office and the comfort of your home.
A day in the life
- You will manage and execute content calendars that align with our seasonal campaigns, ensuring every piece of copy, from blog posts to email marketing, is engaging and SEO-rich.
- You will collaborate with our in-house production team to plan and script video content that highlights our latest outdoor gear and brings our brand voice to life.
- You will analyze the performance of our content using tools like Google Analytics to gather insights, reporting back on engagement metrics to constantly refine and improve our future strategies.
Who you are
You are a creative storyteller with a sharp eye for detail and a genuine passion for the outdoors. You have a background in marketing and feel comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced retail environment. Your toolkit includes:
- Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to write persuasive, accurate content that resonates with our specific brand voice.
- Technical proficiency in WordPress and basic HTML for building and managing blog content.
- A solid understanding of social media trends, video production processes, and how to translate marketing data into actionable insights.
- The ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including buyers, merchandisers, and external agencies, to keep projects moving forward on schedule.
- Fluency in English and a desire to contribute to an inclusive, people-first team culture.
