The Content Creator, YouTube is responsible for elevating the social presence for Bauer Hockey by shooting and editing highly engaging long-form videos. The ideal candidate should be obsessed with social media and have a strong eye for current/upcoming trends, possess skills in video capture and editing, and can execute post-production needs. A comprehensive understanding of YouTube strategy is required along with a general knowledge of hockey. This role works in a highly collaborative environment and allows for the ability to influence strategic decisions.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

• Create relevant, original, high-quality YouTube videos that engage and grow the target audience, build brand awareness, and convert and retain followers.
• Assist in developing an actionable strategy for YouTube, contributing conceptual ideas for videos, thumbnails, and titles.
• Repurpose video content to meet needs on bauer.com and other digital platforms.
• Support internal video projects on an as-needed basis, including product sales videos and retail associate training videos.
• Attend hockey events and brand productions to shoot content.
• Deliver video and design projects within platform specifications and timing requirements.
• Identify real-time culturally relevant trends and harness them for meaningful content.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years related industry experience of hands-on creation of video content for social media and other platforms.
• Experience shooting video content, editing long- and short-form content, and post-production (editing, coloring, audio engineering, titles, graphics, etc.)
• Proven video experience for social media and digital platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Websites with a focus on mobile-first.
• Fluent in social media strategy, trends & intricacies of platforms and the algorithms that drive them.
• High degree of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premier Pro, Photoshop, After Effects)
• Excellent interpersonal skills, a flexible and adaptable attitude and ability to effectively communicate at all levels of organization.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-oriented environment.
• Passion for hockey with an overall understanding of sports is preferred.
• Willing to travel as needed and/or required by essential job functions.
