We serve as a global voice for health workers, striving to transform the availability and quality of medical training across the globe. By implementing responsive workforce development programs where they are needed most, we utilize the transformational power of health partnerships to strengthen systems worldwide. We invite you to join our mission and contribute to our collaborative model of mutual benefit.
What you bring
We are searching for two dedicated Communications Volunteers to join our small, friendly team on a full-time basis. This role is perfect for a student looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting. You will be based on-site at the Royal Society of Medicine in London. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing relationships with event speakers, stall holders, and sponsors.
- Supporting our team in the production of marketing materials, including posters, catalogues, and brochures, while overseeing social media coverage.
- Conducting post-event evaluations through data entry, analysis, and the creation of reports for our stakeholders.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should be a dynamic individual with a strong interest in marketing, event planning, and social media. We value candidates who possess excellent communication skills and a knack for data analysis and supplier management. Proficiency in English is required. We are looking for someone who is organized, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to the success of our upcoming annual conference.
What we offer
While this is an unpaid volunteer position, we are committed to supporting your time with us. You will have the opportunity to develop your professional skills while contributing to a significant event in the global health sector. Perks include:
- Reimbursement for travel and lunch expenses up to £15 per day.
- Access to the Royal Society of Medicine canteen, where meals are available for £1.50.
- Valuable experience working under the direct supervision of our Communications Manager for an eight-month duration.
How to Apply
If you are ready to make a difference and gain practical experience with a global organization, we would love to hear from you. We are looking to fill these positions as soon as possible. Please submit your application before the deadline of 12 midnight on March 22nd, 2017.
