About the Role
We are hiring a Senior Combat Designer for a full-time position. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our development team, focusing on the creation and refinement of the tactical combat encounters that define our gaming experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and take full ownership of engaging combat encounters that offer unique and memorable challenges for our players.
- Coordinate with various departments, including art, narrative, and scripting, to ensure that all production assets align with the intended design.
- Master our internal development tools while proactively reporting bugs and suggesting improvements to enhance the overall user experience.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a design role, with a strong grasp of combat encounter mechanics and a preference for those with turn-based experience.
- Practical experience implementing designs using industry-standard tools such as Unity or the Unreal Editor.
- A proven track record that includes shipping at least one title from the pre-production phase through to final release.
- Strong written communication skills, specifically the ability to document designs clearly, alongside excellent verbal skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
- A proactive, self-managed approach to problem-solving and a consistent ability to meet project deadlines.
Location
This role is based in Spain.
