Position Overview:
Salomon is seeking a highly motivated and creative CMF Design Intern to join our dynamic team in the Apparel Section. The CMF Design Intern will play a key role in assisting the CMF (Color, Material, and Finish) team in developing seasonal color palettes, graphic designs, and material&finish strategies that reflect Salomon's brand identity and meet the needs of our diverse customer base.
Responsibilities:
1. CMF Design Support
- Assist the CMF team in researching and identifying emerging trends in color, materials, and finishes relevant to outdoor sports apparel.
- Support the development of seasonal CMF mood boards, inspiration sources, and presentation materials.
- Collaborate with designers to create and refine color palettes aligned with Salomon’s brand DNA and consumer insights.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining color and material libraries for internal reference.
2. Graphic and Material Development
- Support graphic designers in developing print and pattern concepts for apparel collections, incorporating seasonal themes, brand identity, and technical requirements.
- Help coordinate and maintain strike-off and sample libraries.
- Conduct trend and material research, exploring innovative, sustainable, and performance-driven materials and trims for apparel products.
3. Operational and Project Support
- Provide timely and effective operative design support to the CMF and Apparel Design teams, contributing to short-term project planning and execution.
- Actively participate in cross-functional development projects as a collaborative team member.
