What is this role?
We are hiring a Senior Civil Engineer for a full-time position. This role reports directly to our Director of Engineering and requires someone with significant experience in the field. We are looking for a candidate who holds an EIT certification, though a PE license is preferred. You should have at least five years of professional experience, with seven to ten years being ideal for this role.
What will you do?
- Take charge of designing industrial foundations, which includes creating detailed rebar specifications, managing steel embeds, and overseeing the direct design process.
- Produce accurate drawings for foundations and roadworks while preparing comprehensive vendor specifications for tender packages.
- Handle vendor relations and oversee budget management to ensure our projects remain on track and within scope.

To succeed in this role, you should be comfortable working in English and possess a strong technical background. We value candidates who bring the following qualifications:
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCad or Solidworks.
- Deep knowledge of industrial foundation design, including equipment support and machinery anchoring systems.
- Experience with site planning, including roadworks, traffic flow, and underground water systems like process water, fire water, and wastewater piping.
- An understanding of environmental planning for runoff and wastewater.
- A willingness to travel, as this role involves visiting client sites for up to 16 weeks per year and traveling to our Portland office on a monthly basis.
