Role at a glance
We are seeking a Mid-Level Civil Designer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. You will play a key role in our engineering operations, with office placements available in Reno, Carson City, Fallon, South Lake Tahoe, or El Dorado Hills. This position is perfect for someone with a solid background in civil design who is eager to take on complex projects and mentor others.
Your impact
- Produce detailed civil design drawings and technical support using CAD Civil 3D software while adhering to strict industry standards.
- Conduct project planning and analysis using ArcPRO GIS to ensure our designs are both accurate and efficient.
- Engage in field and construction site visits to verify quantities, manage reports, and gain hands-on experience with construction assistance activities.
What you'll need
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or at least two years of relevant AEC experience with a strong foundation in CAD design.
- A minimum of two years of professional engineering design experience, ideally with an Engineer Intern (E.I.) certification.
- Proficiency in CAD Civil 3D for creating site plans, grading plans, and utility layouts, along with a solid grasp of grading, drainage, and utility design concepts.
- Excellent communication skills, a knack for problem-solving, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluency in English.
