Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) is a national nonprofit dedicated to closing the racial wealth gap by elevating the career paths of Black, Latine, and Native American talent. Since our founding in 2002, we have supported over 10,000 individuals and partnered with more than 200 organizations to drive meaningful change. We are currently looking for a passionate leader to join our team and help scale our impact as we continue to reshape the corporate landscape.
What is this role?
We are seeking a Chief Marketing Officer to join our executive team in a full-time, hybrid capacity based in the United States. This is a senior-level position for an experienced professional who will oversee all marketing and communications activities. You will report directly to our Chief Operating Officer and work closely with our CEO and Founder to amplify our narrative on advancing racial equity. Your primary goal will be to expand our organizational capacity and lead the strategy for our upcoming 20th-anniversary gala and campaign.
What will you do?
- Provide strategic leadership for all marketing initiatives, working in tandem with the executive team to develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies.
- Manage and optimize various channels, including owned and earned media, to effectively engage corporate partners, philanthropists, and program fellows.
- Execute high-impact B2B marketing and brand experience strategies, including the planning and messaging for our marquee 20th-anniversary celebration.
What makes you a great fit?
To be successful in this role, you should be a seasoned professional with a strong background in both brand marketing and strategic communications. We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field, with an MBA being a plus.
- At least 15 years of experience in marketing and communications, including a minimum of 10 years in a leadership role.
- At least 5 years of experience in brand marketing, specifically focused on captivating key audiences across diverse content formats.
- Expertise in large-scale event planning and a proven track record in B2B marketing, lead generation, and advocacy initiatives.
- Fluency in English is required.
