What is this role?

We are looking for a Business Development Representative to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a junior-level position that serves as the first point of contact in our sales cycle. You will act as a vital link between our sales and marketing efforts, reporting directly to our Head of Marketing. This role is perfect for someone who wants to help shape our sales operations from the ground up while engaging directly with our passionate open-source user base.

What will you do?

  • You will manage outreach to community-qualified leads and high-intent accounts, using creative strategies to connect with users and help businesses scale their operations.
  • You will perform deep research into specific market segments and target companies to identify key personas and generate high-quality sales opportunities.
  • You will engage with potential clients through outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn messages to understand their unique technical challenges and qualify them for further partnership.

To succeed in this role, you should be comfortable working in a technical environment and have a genuine interest in building professional relationships. We are looking for the following qualifications:

  • One to two years of experience in an SDR or demand generation role.
  • Professional experience or deep familiarity with DevOps, GitOps, cloud-native technologies, or selling to open-source communities.
  • Proficiency with essential sales and marketing tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a small, high-impact team environment.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business, or equivalent experience in a sales-focused field.
  • Fluency in English.

Bonus points if you have experience with Crossplane, CNCF projects, or have previously worked in a Series A, B, or C startup environment.
