We are looking for a Business Development Representative to join our team in a full-time, hybrid capacity based in Germany. At charles, we are building the future of conversational marketing by helping brands engage, convert, and retain customers through AI agents and marketing automation on channels like WhatsApp. Founded by industry experts and backed by major investors like Salesforce Ventures and Accel, we are on a mission to lead the conversational AI space. Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the pre-sales process by identifying new business opportunities and managing the pipeline to meet key performance metrics.
  • Drive lead generation across the DACH and Italian markets using a mix of cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, and social selling strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with our Account Executives and the wider team to qualify leads, analyze customer needs, and support the successful closing of new business deals.

Requirements

  • A proven track record of achieving sales success and a willingness to go the extra mile to reach your targets.
  • Professional fluency in German or Italian at a C1 or C2 level, combined with confident business-level English.
  • Hands-on experience working with CRM systems such as HubSpot, Pipedrive, or Salesforce.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to identify and articulate how our business solutions can solve a customer's specific transformation needs.
  • A collaborative mindset and a desire to contribute to a diverse, multicultural team environment.
