The role
We are seeking a Battery Channel Manager to join our Marketing and Growth team on a full-time basis. This is a mid-level position based in Australia, specifically operating in a hybrid capacity out of our Melbourne hub. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our network of solar and battery installer partners, which is essential to helping battery owners unlock the full value of their systems.
Core responsibilities
- Develop and execute the strategy for expanding our channel partnerships with solar and battery installers.
- Generate new leads, conduct compelling sales presentations, and manage the full cycle of closing new partnerships.
- Collaborate across internal teams to promote our battery automation products and stay at the forefront of industry developments, such as virtual power plants and demand response technology.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- At least 2 years of experience in a sales, business development, or technical role within the distributed energy sector, such as residential solar, batteries, or electric vehicles.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate senior stakeholders.
- A solid understanding of the Australian energy market, including virtual power plants and demand response.
- A self-driven, growth-oriented mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
- While a tertiary degree is helpful, it is not a requirement for this position.
Compensation and benefits
We offer a supportive and flexible work environment designed to help you thrive both personally and professionally. Benefits include:
- Equity compensation in the form of company shares.
- A hybrid work model featuring flexible hours and the ability to work from home, with a central office hub in Melbourne.
- An annual learning budget to support your professional development.
- Access to a mental wellness budget and an external Employee Assistance Plan.
