Amber is redefining how power is bought and sold, creating a path toward a future powered entirely by renewable energy. We provide our customers with direct access to real-time wholesale electricity prices, which fluctuate every 30 minutes. By offering the technology to shift energy usage toward times when cheaper renewables are abundant, we help our users save money while supporting the grid. We are currently scaling rapidly, supported by prominent investors including Commonwealth Bank, NRMA, and leading venture capital firms. With a team of over 100 experts across technology, energy, and operations, we are looking for a motivated Battery Channel Manager to help us expand our reach and accelerate Australia's transition to 100% renewable energy.
Key outcomes
- Develop and execute the strategy for expanding our channel partnerships with solar and battery installers.
- Proactively generate new leads and manage the full sales cycle, from initial outreach to closing deals.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, lasting relationships with our existing network of installer partners.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations that clearly communicate the value of our battery automation products.
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics to ensure we are meeting our growth objectives.
- Identify and pursue strategic B2B2C opportunities to grow the adoption of our battery technology.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations teams to enhance our SmartShift technology across the National Electricity Market.
- Stay informed on industry trends, including virtual power plants, demand response, and advancements in EV charging technology.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional experience in sales, business development, or a technical role within the distributed energy sector, such as residential solar, virtual power plants, or electric vehicles.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate senior stakeholders.
- A genuine interest in and understanding of the energy market, specifically regarding demand response and virtual power plants.
- A proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
- A growth mindset characterized by a willingness to learn, experiment, and adapt to new challenges.
Preferred qualifications
- Direct experience working with solar, battery, or EV charging hardware and smart devices.
- Previous experience working in a high-growth startup environment.
- A strong personal passion for technology, environmental sustainability, and the energy sector.
