By integrating real-time data insights with digital vehicle control, we enable fleets to operate with unprecedented transparency and control. Our technology powers major industry players, including Gig Car Share from AAA and KINTO Share by Toyota Sweden. With a global presence spanning San Francisco, Paris, Berlin, and Pune, we are looking for a dedicated Backend Engineer to join our team in India on a full-time, on-site basis.
Key outcomes
- Design and develop robust network APIs to support our mobility platform.
- Execute high-quality code refactoring to maintain system health and scalability.
- Implement comprehensive automated testing to ensure software reliability.
- Perform deep debugging and data analysis to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Collaborate across teams to build and maintain efficient web applications.
- Apply DevOps principles to streamline our deployment and operational workflows.
Requirements
- Three to five years of professional experience working with Python.
- Proven background in designing and implementing network APIs, such as REST.
- Strong proficiency in refactoring existing codebases.
- Demonstrable experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Advanced debugging and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Python Django.
- Expertise in managing and optimizing PostgreSQL databases.
- Ability to architect complex, relational database-backed web applications.
- Experience conducting thorough code reviews.
- Background in data analysis and B2B software environments.
- Exposure to web frontend development, product design, or embedded systems.
- Previous experience in a startup environment or founding a company.
- Experience in engineering, program, or product management.
- Familiarity with mobile application development and DevOps practices.
