The role

We are looking for a Senior Back end Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a high-impact role where you will work alongside a team of seasoned engineers to enhance the speed, scalability, and flexibility of our core services. You will be instrumental in shipping advanced AI-powered features and optimizing our infrastructure to support massive traffic demands.

Core responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance architectures to support real-time messaging for hundreds of thousands of concurrent users.
• Engineer robust AI agents, RAG pipelines, and model fine-tuning systems that push the boundaries of our platform.
• Ensure high availability and scalability for our services, which are relied upon by some of the most visited websites and applications on the internet.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should have at least three years of experience as a backend developer and a track record of working with high-traffic, high-performance applications. We value developers who are naturally curious and experiment with AI agents in their daily work.

Required technical qualifications:

• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Strong understanding of TDD, BDD, or ATDD methodologies.
• Experience building and maintaining REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB or other document-oriented databases.

Preferred skills:

• Experience with statically typed languages, particularly Golang.
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and cloud services.
• Knowledge of SQL, React, and both object-oriented and functional programming paradigms.
