Associate Web Developer

POSITION OVERVIEW
Alarm.com is seeking a proactive, positive, and talented Associate Web Developer to join our in-house marketing team. In this role, you will work closely with the marketing, creative, and developer teams to collaborate on multiple web and email projects across the business.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and capable of efficiently managing multiple projects with competing priorities while delivering high-quality results. You understand the importance of following design guidelines and will prioritize development that aligns with the brand's vision. Additionally, you will be proactive and positive, demonstrating a collaborative spirit within a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop a range of high-impact B2B and B2C digital content, applying strong knowledge of responsive design principles.
• Build, maintain, and enhance landing pages in WordPress and emails in Salesforce Marketing Cloud using HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and JavaScript.
• Utilize tools Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop and Illustrator) and Figma
• Work closely with the marketing and design teams to assist in design concepts into functional, responsive landing pages and emails.
• Follow design mockups to implement solutions, ensuring quality and consistency across all deliverables.
• Manage and maintain repositories using GitHub.
• Organize and track tasks effectively with JIRA.
• Efficiently troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
• Contribute effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Work with various teams across the organization to support multiple projects, providing clear and concise digital assets while managing competing priorities and timelines.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and implement updates, communicating the feasibility of deliverables and timelines.
• Provide recommendations and guidance on WordPress Core, plugins, theme updates, and troubleshooting bug fixes.
• Other duties as assigned. 

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience with web graphic design and UX with a demonstrable portfolio.
• Bachelor's degree in web/graphic design, computer science, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of proven experience in front-end development with WordPress
• 2-3 years of front-end development experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
• Proficient in developing responsive web pages and other front-end technologies.
• Basic understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and how to resolve
• Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) and Figma (or similar), with a solid understanding of web standards and the ability to create UI mockups that align with best design practices.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet competing deadlines.

NICE TO HAVE

• Salesforce Marketing Cloud and AmpScript experience.
• Experienced with JIRA and Confluence.
• Basic understanding of SEO principles and knowledge of Google Analytics.
