Core responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end omni-channel strategy for patient engagement, including the development and execution of branded and unbranded websites, social media, and CRM initiatives.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships within the spinal muscular atrophy community, ensuring that patient feedback is integrated into our materials and that the patient voice remains central to our work.
- Collaborate across internal functions, including Medical Affairs, Patient Advocacy, and Market Access, to ensure all marketing tactics are cohesive, innovative, and meet all regulatory and compliance standards.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree is required, while an advanced degree is preferred.
- At least 6 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology marketing, specifically within U.S. patient or consumer marketing.
- A strong background in creating data-driven, compliant digital marketing strategies that have successfully increased patient engagement.
- Proven success in specialty or rare disease environments, with a preference for candidates who have worked in neurology or neuromuscular disease.
- Expertise in managing agencies, overseeing budgets, and navigating the complexities of a matrixed organization.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to thrive in a high-growth, first-launch environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple departments.
- A willingness to travel as needed, estimated at approximately 30 percent of the time.
Compensation and benefits
We are proud to offer a supportive work environment that values flexibility. Employees in this role benefit from:
