Madhappy is a Los Angeles-based clothing brand built for a community of optimists. Since our founding in 2017, we have used apparel, experimental retail spaces, and our print magazine, Local Optimist, to explore personal expression as a path to a better state of mind. Role at a glance

We are seeking a Mid-Level Associate Designer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an on-site position based in Los Angeles, where you will report directly to our Senior Design Director to help shape our seasonal collections and evergreen styles.

Your impact

• Support our design team by managing administrative tasks and maintaining essential documentation like tech packs, BOMs, and sketch boards.
• Conduct extensive vintage research to identify new silhouettes, fabrics, trims, and logo techniques that align with our brand identity.
• Collaborate on the development process by assisting with fabric sourcing, approving lab dips and strike-offs, and participating in fittings to ensure every detail is captured.

What you'll need

• A two-year AAS or college degree in Fashion Design, paired with at least 2 years of professional experience in the industry.
• High proficiency in Illustrator and a solid working knowledge of CAD.
• A proactive, go-getter attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift quickly.
• Strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine love for vintage research and reinterpretation.
• Fluency in English.
