We are a team driven by creativity and high performance, and we are currently looking for an Assistant Designer who shares our enthusiasm for pop culture to help us bring new collections to life.
About the Role
This is a full-time position where you will work closely with our designers to manage the product development process. You will be a hands-on contributor, ensuring that our design projects stay on track and that our creative vision is translated into finished apparel.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed technical sketches, CADs, and comprehensive tech packs that include construction callouts for a variety of apparel categories like tops, jackets, and dresses.
- Provide essential administrative and creative support to the design team, which includes maintaining reference libraries for fabrics and samples, tracking lab dips, and organizing line sheets.
- Participate actively in the development cycle by preparing materials for trend meetings, taking notes during weekly syncs, and ensuring all project follow-ups are completed on time.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong foundation in design and a proactive approach to your work. We require the following qualifications:
- At least one year of professional experience working as a design assistant.
- A college degree in design or a closely related field.
- Proficiency with industry-standard software, specifically Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with the licenses and brands associated with Hot Topic, BoxLunch, and Her Universe.
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to maintain composure while working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
Location
This position is based in the United States. We operate on a hybrid schedule, which requires you to work from our headquarters in the City of Industry, CA, two days per week.
