Assistant Designer at Club Monaco

We are looking for a creative and driven individual to join our team as an Assistant Designer for our Women’s Soft Wovens department.

What you bring

This is a full-time, on-site role based in the United States. As a junior-level designer, you will support our Senior Designer in bringing our seasonal visions to life. You will be deeply involved in the creative process, from initial concept research to the final production stages. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Designing a wide range of soft woven products, including dresses, tops, and bottoms, while managing the creation of detailed tech packs and construction diagrams.
• Conducting thorough market and trend research to inform our designs, sourcing vintage inspiration, and managing trim development for each season.
• Collaborating across teams to ensure design intent is maintained during fittings, while actively updating line sheets and maintaining our internal design libraries.

Requirements

We are looking for a self-starter with a bachelor’s or associate degree in fashion design and up to two years of experience in the industry. You should have an astute understanding of the North American market and a genuine passion for the Club Monaco aesthetic. Success in this role requires a strong grasp of garment construction, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office, and the ability to sketch and communicate ideas clearly. We value candidates who are adaptable, highly organized, and eager to work in a fast-paced environment where managing multiple seasons is the norm. While experience with PLM software is a bonus, we are happy to provide training for the right person.
