We are currently looking for an Assistant Designer who shares our enthusiasm for these worlds to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with our designers to transform our various licenses into unique, wearable fashion. It is a hands-on position where you will play a vital part in keeping our design and product development processes running smoothly.
About the Role
This is a full-time, junior-level position as an Assistant Designer for our Licensed Apparel division. You will be responsible for supporting the design team through every stage of the product lifecycle, from initial concepts to final production. This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring you to be present at our headquarters in the City of Industry, CA, two days each week.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed technical sketches, CADs, and comprehensive tech packs for a wide range of apparel categories, including tops, dresses, jackets, and bottoms.
- Provide essential support to the design team by managing seasonal research, organizing reference libraries, filing lab dips, and maintaining line sheets.
- Participate actively in team meetings, trend concept sessions, and design reviews to ensure projects stay on track and communication remains clear.
Requirements
- A college degree in design or a closely related field.
- At least one year of professional experience in a design assistant role.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with the specific licenses featured at Hot Topic, BoxLunch, and Her Universe.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Location
This position is based in the United States, with a requirement to work from our headquarters in the City of Industry, CA, on a hybrid basis.
