About the Role
This is a full-time position as an Assistant Designer for Licensed Apparel. You will work closely with our designers to support the entire product development lifecycle, ensuring that our creative vision is executed accurately and efficiently. This role is perfect for a junior professional looking to grow their career in a hands-on, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed technical sketches, CAD artwork, and comprehensive tech packs for a variety of apparel categories including tops, dresses, and jackets.
- Provide administrative and creative support to the design team by organizing reference libraries, managing lab dip approvals, and preparing materials for seasonal trend meetings.
- Participate actively in team meetings, taking detailed notes and following up on action items to keep our design and development processes running smoothly.
Requirements
- At least one year of professional experience working as a design assistant.
- A college degree in design or a closely related field.
- Strong technical proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- A deep understanding of the licenses featured at Hot Topic, BoxLunch, and Her Universe.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain composure under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit, with the ability to provide direct feedback and work effectively within a team.
Location
This position is based in the United States. We operate on a hybrid schedule, requiring you to work from our headquarters in the City of Industry, California, two days per week.
