ASIC Verification Engineer at ​Recogni

We are building high-performance, low-power AI inference chips that power next-generation autonomous driving systems. As an ASIC Verification Engineer on our team, you will own the pre-silicon quality of a multi-million-gate accelerator that combines custom compute blocks with third-party SoC IP.

Responsibilities

• Own SoC and subsystem verification for embedded CPUs such as ARM or RISC-V and their interconnect fabrics, including C and assembly diagnostics.
• Build block-level, subsystem, and full-chip verification environments and tests that fulfill detailed test plans.
• Partner daily with design and architecture teams to align verification goals with functional and performance targets.
• Debug functional and performance issues, track bugs, and drive coverage closure.
• Develop scripts and methodologies that streamline the front-end ASIC flow.
• Execute diagnostic and post-silicon validation tests in the lab.

Must-haves

• Two or more years of ASIC verification experience.
• Strong knowledge of ARM, MIPS, or RISC-V architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AMBA, APB, and AXI protocols.
• Familiarity with common processor peripheral interfaces such as SPI, eMMC, Ethernet MII variants, GPIO, and I2C.
• Expert-level Verilog and SystemVerilog programming skills.
• Practical experience with UVM or an equivalent methodology.
• Deep grasp of object-oriented programming, constrained-random stimulus, and coverage-driven verification.
• Scripting proficiency in Python, Perl, TCL, or shell.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Fluency in English.
