Spun out of MIT by a team of engineers, AI scientists, clinicians, and operators, our technology is already used by thousands of dental professionals, and our long-term vision is to be the first company to diagnose a billion people worldwide.
The role
We are offering a full-time Artificial Intelligence Data Science Internship for students. The position lasts at least three months, with a flexible start date, and can be performed remotely when needed. You will join our AI team and work side-by-side with machine-learning engineers on a focused project in deep learning or data science.
Core responsibilities
- Design and execute a self-defined project that applies state-of-the-art deep-learning or data-science methods to large, real-world dental datasets.
- Build and maintain data pipelines and model-training workflows in Python that support rapid experimentation and reproducible results.
- Present findings and progress updates to the broader engineering team, contributing both technical insight and a collaborative spirit.
Skills and experience
We are looking for candidates currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an M.S. or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience building deep-learning models or data pipelines, solid proficiency in Python, and a genuine curiosity to tackle open-ended technical challenges are essential. Strong communication skills and a desire to improve human health complete the profile.
