We are thrilled to invite you to join our award-winning Immersive team at Squint/Opera, the London-based studio within Journey. We specialize in bridging the digital and physical worlds through groundbreaking storytelling and emerging technologies like Unreal Engine and virtual twins. From the digital reinvention of the Empire State Building Observatory to the immersive Lift 109 experience at Battersea Power Station, we are at the forefront of multidimensional design. As part of our team, you will contribute to a global studio that blends strategy, design, and technology to create sensory-rich journeys that deeply connect people with brands and culture.
What you'll be doing
- You will lead the art direction for CG films and stills, collaborating closely with the Creative Director to define visual approaches through moodboards, style frames, and pre-visualization.
- You will translate creative briefs into practical, actionable direction for our production teams, ensuring all work remains efficient and aligned with the project's narrative goals.
- You will serve as a key point of contact for our clients, attending meetings, managing feedback, and resolving complex design gaps to ensure our high-quality standards are consistently met.
What you'll bring
You are a senior-level creative with a strong imagination and a deep understanding of the built environment. To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- Expert proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proven experience in CG production, including work with film and photography shoots.
- A working knowledge of Unreal Engine and other industry-standard workflows to effectively communicate your vision to the production team.
- Strong communication skills in English, allowing you to present ideas clearly to both clients and internal teams.
- A flexible, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to lead as a role model while maintaining high standards for creative innovation.
What you'll get
We offer a competitive salary range of £67,000 to £86,000 GBP for this full-time, on-site position in the United Kingdom. You will be joining a collaborative, forward-thinking environment where you can help shape the future of experiential design and work on high-impact projects that push the boundaries of what is possible.
