We are now looking for an Area Director of Product Design to join our team in a full-time, hybrid capacity. In this leadership role, you will oversee the design strategy for our Trust, Security, and Help Experience domains, ensuring that our platform remains a safe and reliable environment for our global community.
Responsibilities
- Define the long-term user experience vision and strategy by collaborating closely with leadership in product, engineering, data science, and research.
- Champion the needs of our members by ensuring that their perspectives on safety and trust are central to our product development and strategic planning.
- Cultivate a high-performing design team by managing recruitment, professional development, and performance, while maintaining a high standard of design excellence across all projects.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in building products from the ground up and scaling platforms within complex, multifaceted environments.
- A strong background in strategic design leadership with a proven ability to connect creative output to business outcomes and user trust metrics.
- Demonstrated success in leading, mentoring, and growing design teams through empathetic management and constructive feedback.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- A deep passion for user-centric design, with bonus consideration for those who have previously worked on trust, safety, risk mitigation, or AI-powered moderation systems.
What we offer
