Role at a glance
We are seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role based in the United Kingdom, where you will collaborate directly with product architects and engineering teams to harden our software against advanced threats.
Your impact
- Perform comprehensive security reviews across our product portfolio, utilizing whitebox, greybox, and blackbox assessment techniques.
- Act as the primary security subject matter expert, guiding engineering teams through threat modeling, risk assessment, and the implementation of secure design controls.
- Drive company-wide security initiatives, such as developing security automation, improving software supply chain integrity, and finding novel ways to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
What you'll need
We value curiosity, tenacity, and a drive to excel in the security space. To succeed in this role, you should bring the following:
- Professional experience in software engineering or development, paired with a deep passion for information security.
- Proficiency in modern high-level programming languages such as Java, Golang, JavaScript, or Python.
- A history of evaluating complex codebases and architectures, such as micro-services, for vulnerabilities.
- Experience with black-box testing for web applications and familiarity with static analysis platforms like CodeQL.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams to solve complex problems.
- Fluency in English.
