Application Security Engineer at Palantir Technologies

We are looking for a Senior Application Security Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis in the United Kingdom. At Palantir, we build software that helps the world’s most important institutions solve their most complex problems, from discovering life-saving medicines to securing global financial markets. Our Product Security team is central to this mission, ensuring that our software remains secure-by-design while enabling our developers to build high-impact products with agility. This is a hybrid role where you will have the autonomy to drive security initiatives that protect our mission-critical systems against advanced threats.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive architecture and security reviews for complex products to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
• Partner directly with engineering teams to guide feature design, perform threat modeling, and provide input on security-critical code.
• Design and deploy automated solutions that proactively eliminate entire categories of security weaknesses across our organization.

Requirements

We are seeking candidates who possess a deep passion for information security and bring a strong background in software engineering. You should have experience working with complex codebases, such as micro-services or service-oriented architectures, and be comfortable with the following:

• Proficiency in modern high-level programming languages such as Java, Golang, or Python.
• Demonstrated expertise in evaluating code for security flaws and performing black-box testing on web applications.
• Hands-on experience with static code analysis platforms, including tools like CodeQL.
• A proven history of designing and shipping production-ready software while maintaining clear communication with engineering partners.
