About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer for a Full Time position. In this role, you will join our Product Security team to champion a secure-by-design approach. You will partner closely with engineering teams to review early-stage designs, conduct threat modeling, and ensure our software remains resilient against sophisticated threats. This is a high-impact position that offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to drive security initiatives across our entire product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive security reviews, including whitebox, greybox, and blackbox assessments, to identify vulnerabilities in our complex product and service offerings.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for architects and engineers by leading threat modeling sessions and guiding the implementation of security controls during the design phase.
- Develop and deploy security automation and strategic initiatives to eliminate entire classes of vulnerabilities and improve our overall security posture.
Requirements
- Strong background in software engineering or development with a deep passion for information security.
- Proficiency in modern high-level programming languages such as Java, Golang, JavaScript, or Python.
- Proven experience evaluating complex codebases, including micro-services or service-oriented architectures.
- Hands-on experience with static code analysis platforms like CodeQL and performing black-box testing on web applications.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse engineering teams.
