Analytical Lab Technician at Adaptive3D

We are looking for a dedicated Analytical Lab Technician to join our team in a full-time, on-site capacity within the United States. At Desktop Metal, we are pioneers in the additive manufacturing space, and this role is vital to our mission of producing high-quality photopolymer resins. You will play a key part in our manufacturing success by overseeing production processes, managing supply chains, and ensuring our chemical formulations meet the highest standards of excellence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate across departments to design and implement efficient manufacturing procedures for our photopolymer resin formulations.
• Manage the end-to-end production schedule, which includes performing hands-on compounding and overseeing the activities of our third-party contract manufacturers.
• Troubleshoot any production or material challenges that arise, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and address root causes.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a closely related field.
• Between 2 and 5 years of professional experience in chemical compounding, including a solid understanding of manufacturing batch procedures.
• Proven experience working in a chemical laboratory environment with a focus on safety and the proper handling of chemicals.
• The ability to follow rigorous scientific methods and perform design of experiments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
• Physical capability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Preferred: Candidates with 5 to 7 years of experience or specific expertise with photopolymer resins will be given additional consideration.
