What is this role?

We are seeking a mid-level AI/ML Engineer for a full-time, on-site position based in the DC Metro area. This role is essential to our data team, where you will work alongside data scientists, engineers, and product owners to deliver high-impact machine learning solutions. Please note that this position requires U.S. citizenship, as all work must be conducted within the continental United States. Additionally, candidates must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with a CI Polygraph to be eligible.

What will you do?

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, train, and deploy machine learning models that integrate into larger, value-driven pipelines.
• Build and maintain robust machine learning pipelines while utilizing modern software engineering practices like Git, DevOps, and agile methodologies.
• Apply your expertise in various machine learning subfields, such as NLP, computer vision, and time series analysis, to solve real-world challenges for our public-sector clients.

• Technical Proficiency: You have practical experience with PyTorch, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Data Skills: You are comfortable using data processing frameworks, with a preference for Apache Spark, and possess strong scripting skills in Python.
• Professional Growth: You are willing to obtain a Security+ certification within your first 90 days of employment.
• Preferred Background: We highly value candidates with experience in TypeScript, LLMs, agentic workflows, or those who can share publications and GitHub repositories that showcase their work.
