AI Studio Team Manager at Vonage

We are building Vonage AI Studio, a low-code and no-code platform that lets both developers and non-technical users design, orchestrate, and launch natural-language customer experiences across telephony, SMS, WhatsApp, HTTP, and additional channels. Our team in Israel is growing, and we are looking for an experienced engineering leader who can guide the next phase of this product.

What you'll be doing

• Lead a team of talented software engineers, providing day-to-day guidance while holding end-to-end engineering ownership of the AI Studio product.
• Drive the delivery of a scalable, highly available cloud service that adapts quickly to changing business needs and new customer channels.
• Take part in hiring, talent development, product direction, technical decisions, and broader business planning within your team's scope.

What you'll bring

• At least two years of experience leading a team of five or more engineers, paired with seven or more years of hands-on software engineering work.
• Strong knowledge of both backend and frontend technologies, including Node.js, Python, TypeScript, and Angular.
• Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases as well as caching layers such as Redis, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch.
• Practical background running services on AWS, including Lambda, EKS, ECR, and Amplify.
• Familiarity with event-driven systems and messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS, and SNS.
• Experience working in agile development environments and the ability to dive deep into complex technical challenges.
• Proven talent-management skills, clear communication in both English and Hebrew, and the capacity to motivate teams toward ambitious results while keeping the larger business picture in view.
• A fast learner who thrives when guiding others through evolving requirements.
