The Opportunity

Advocate is on the lookout for a forward-thinking AI Solutions Architect to lead the integration and optimization of AI technologies within our groundbreaking platform. This critical role is designed for a visionary technologist eager to impact the benefits application landscape significantly.

As our AI Solutions Architect, you will report to the head of our Applied AI department and will be at the helm of designing AI-driven solutions that address the complexities of government benefit applications. This role is designed for those who are passionate about leveraging leading edge technology to address complex issues. Requirements

Educational Background: Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field that emphasizes scientific thinking and rigor. Exceptional candidates with a Bachelor's degree and extensive relevant experience may also be considered. A strong educational foundation ensures a deep understanding of the underlying principles and methodologies in AI and machine learning.

Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in AI and machine learning, with a proven track record of designing and implementing AI solutions at scale. Hands-on experience in applying AI technologies to real-world problems is crucial for success in this role.

Technical Expertise: Familiarity with common open AI frameworks such as Langchain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face Transformers, and others. Proficiency in these frameworks allows for rapid prototyping and implementation of AI solutions.

Advanced Prompt Engineering: The candidate should be an expert in prompt engineering, able to craft effective prompts that elicit the desired responses from large language models (LLMs). They should be an "LLM whisperer," capable of understanding the nuances and capabilities of modern LLMs and extracting the most value from them. This skill is critical for developing AI solutions that leverage the power of LLMs to generate human-like responses and perform complex tasks.

Experience with advanced LLM orchestration techniques and agent-based AI systems: Understanding how to effectively combine and coordinate multiple AI models and agents is essential for building sophisticated AI solutions.

Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python programming. Python is the primary language used in the AI and machine learning community, and a strong command of Python is necessary for implementing and integrating AI models and pipelines.

Agile Development: Familiarity with agile development methodologies and experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ability to adapt to changing requirements and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams is crucial in this role.

Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to apply AI and machine learning techniques to solve complex, real-world problems. A solutions architect must be able to analyze problems, identify appropriate AI approaches, and design effective solutions that meet business requirements.

Innovation and Vision: A technical visionary with a proven track record in the application and integration of AI technologies. The ideal candidate should have a forward-thinking mindset, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and identifying opportunities for innovation.

Leadership and Collaboration: A collaborative leader who excels in bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, aligning efforts towards common goals. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effectively conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences and fostering collaboration.

Domain Knowledge: Experience in regulatory compliance and data security, particularly in healthcare or government services, is highly advantageous. Understanding the unique challenges and requirements of these domains helps ensure the development of compliant and secure AI solutions.
