The opportunity

We are seeking a visionary AI Lead to spearhead our efforts in automating and optimizing our underwriting processes. In this role, you will be at the intersection of deep technology and data science, helping us refine how we evaluate risk and provide coverage. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical strategy, ensuring that our AI systems are not only highly efficient and scalable but also compliant with industry regulations. A day in the life

• You will lead the end-to-end development and implementation of AI-driven solutions designed to automate our underwriting workflows.
• You will collaborate closely with our product and engineering teams to integrate diverse, multi-modal data sources into our underwriting information graph.
• You will mentor junior team members and foster a culture of technical excellence while refining our underwriting rules through advanced machine learning techniques.

Who you are

You are a seasoned leader with a Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. You bring at least five years of professional experience in AI and Machine Learning, specifically in applying these technologies to solve complex problems within the financial services or insurance sectors. You are highly proficient in Python and modern frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch. Beyond your technical skills, you are an excellent communicator who can bridge the gap between complex technical models and business objectives. If you have a background in underwriting or regulatory compliance, that is a significant plus, but we encourage you to apply even if your experience does not align perfectly with every listed qualification.
