About the Role
We are hiring a Senior AI Lead Engineer on a full-time basis. In this hybrid position you will guide the technical direction of AI on the Internet Computer, combining deep engineering expertise with the leadership needed to turn ambitious research ideas into production-ready products.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape the mid- and long-term roadmap for AI capabilities on the Internet Computer, ensuring the platform remains at the forefront of decentralized intelligence.
- Identify product-market fit for AI use cases that demand verifiable trust and can be executed securely inside smart contracts.
- Develop and optimize the AI libraries that smart contracts rely on for training and inference, and drive the integration of hardware acceleration through standards such as WebAssembly.
Requirements
- Senior-level software-engineering experience with a proven ability to solve complex technical problems using metrics-driven decision making.
- Hands-on track record designing, training, and deploying custom AI or machine-learning models that have achieved real-world adoption; familiarity with model transformation and deterministic AI is highly valued.
- Demonstrated success working with customers to translate requirements into product features and roadmaps.
- Strong communication skills that allow you to distill intricate topics for researchers, engineers, and the wider community alike.
- Experience leading projects or small teams, paired with an entrepreneurial mindset and the drive to deliver high-impact results.
Location
This role is based in Switzerland and requires three days of in-office collaboration each week at our Zurich location.
