What is this role?
We are hiring a Senior AI Expert Backend Engineer to join our Backend Engineering team on a full-time, on-site basis in Israel. The position calls for an experienced engineer who will combine deep backend expertise with strong machine-learning knowledge to advance the next generation of AI-powered security features.
What will you do?
- Take machine-learning models from research to production, delivering AI-driven capabilities inside the Wiz platform.
- Own the full lifecycle of backend components-research, design, development, testing, rollout, and monitoring-while collaborating with Security Research and Product teams.
- Build a variety of AI-enhanced features, from large-language-model tools that improve customer investigations to novel applications of AI for cloud security.
What makes you a great fit?
You bring at least five years of backend engineering experience in a high-level language such as Java, C#, or Golang. You have a solid grasp of modern AI and machine-learning techniques, including LLMs, CNNs, and LSTMs, and you have already shipped high-scale, cloud-native SaaS products built on microservices. Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms-AWS, GCP, or Azure-is essential, and you hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or the equivalent practical experience). Strong written and spoken English will help you thrive in our collaborative environment.
