What is this role?

We are seeking a Mid-Level AI Engineer to join our team in Boston on a full-time, on-site basis. You will report directly to our VP of Engineering and work within one of our three Agile pods. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our product and have a significant impact on a rapidly growing, well-funded company.

What will you do?

• Develop and enhance AI agent and chat capabilities to help our customers effectively manage their small businesses.
• Build the necessary infrastructure and pipelines to deploy and scale real-time AI features in a production environment.
• Prototype new AI applications and iterate on them by evaluating performance and incorporating direct user feedback.

What makes you a great fit?

You should be a collaborative problem solver who enjoys working in an Agile environment. We are looking for someone who brings a mix of technical expertise and a fun, team-oriented attitude.

• You have at least 2 years of experience in AI, ML, or NLP roles, or 5+ years of general software engineering experience.
• You are proficient in Python and have experience with ML libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face.
• You have practical experience with OpenAPI, vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation.
• You are comfortable working with LLMs, including tasks like fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and model evaluation.
• You have a track record of deploying AI models into production environments.
• Experience with Django, PostgreSQL, or frontend web frameworks is a plus.
• You possess excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for learning.
• You are a team player who enjoys bringing a bit of humor to the workplace.
