Fleetio is looking for a mid-level AI Engineer to join our growing team and help shape the future of our platform. We provide a modern software solution that helps thousands of organizations worldwide manage their fleet operations, and after raising 144 million dollars in Series C funding in 2023, we are on an exciting path as a leader in the transportation technology market.
Responsibilities
- Advise our leadership team on AI strategy, technology, and policy.
- Design, train, and optimize machine learning models and algorithms.
- Build prototypes to validate new ideas through rapid experimentation.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design and implement AI-enabled solutions.
- Analyze complex data to uncover patterns and anomalies that improve our product.
- Construct and maintain data pipelines to ensure high-quality data for model training.
- Document all AI processes and models thoroughly.
- Provide guidance on hiring to help us grow our internal AI expertise.
Must-haves
- At least 2 years of experience building and deploying AI-enabled solutions.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Deep expertise in developing and deploying machine learning models.
- Advanced knowledge of algorithms such as linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees, and Bayesian methods.
- Ability to effectively test and validate model performance.
- Familiarity with standard AI and machine learning frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- A degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, data science, or a related field.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience working with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, or React.
