At Distyl AI, we are building the future of enterprise operations by creating AI-native technologies that allow humans and machines to collaborate effectively. In just two years, we have partnered with some of the world’s largest organizations across sectors like telecommunications, healthcare, and retail to deliver high-impact AI solutions. Our team is led by veterans from companies like Apple and Palantir, and we work in close partnership with OpenAI to push the boundaries of what is possible. If you are ready to solve high-stakes challenges for the Global Fortune 1000, we would love to have you join our mission.
What you'll be doing
- Design and deploy robust LLM-powered systems that solve critical business problems through model evaluation, agent logic, and production-grade implementation.
- Partner directly with customer stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into technical architectures and effective AI applications.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of Distillery, our internal platform, by building the infrastructure and reusable components that empower our entire engineering team.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in software engineering and a passion for practical AI applications. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a software or machine learning engineer.
- Deep technical expertise in machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Transformers, and scikit-learn, alongside data manipulation tools like NumPy and Pandas.
- Proven experience with cloud infrastructure, Docker, and modern CI/CD workflows.
- A rigorous approach to AI evaluation, with a focus on accuracy, latency, and system reliability.
- Excellent communication skills in English, allowing you to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external clients.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
What you'll get
We provide a supportive environment where you can grow your career while working on the cutting edge of technology. Our benefits include:
- Equity compensation to ensure you share in our success.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- A 401k plan to help you save for the future.
- Commuter benefits to support your travel to our offices.
- The flexibility of a hybrid work model, requiring in-office collaboration three days per week in either our San Francisco or New York locations.
