We're looking for an AI Engineer to join us on our mission

We’re building the AI foundation for our SaaS platform — empowering thousands of users with intelligent, context-aware automation and insights.

As an experienced AI Engineer, you’ll help us design and scale the systems that make this possible from the ground up: LLM infrastructure, retrieval pipelines, agentic workflows, and evaluation frameworks that ensure performance, safety, and reliability across our products.

AI Systems & Infrastructure

• Own the AI gateway (Node/TypeScript): design, build, and operate a service that exposes stable, versioned endpoints for our PHP product teams.

• Build and operate MCP servers/clients: expose internal tools and data safely via Model Context Protocol; define resources/tools/prompts, permissioning, and schemas; integrate MCP clients into our AI flows.

• Agentic workflows: design tool/function schemas and light agent flows (e.g., planner → tools → verifier); implement robust tool-calling, retries, and state/checkpointing.

• RAG done right: model, chunk, embed, and index domain data; wire up vector search; enforce tenant isolation, freshness, and access control.

• Chat runtime & streaming UX: deliver low-latency streaming responses and tool results; support multimodal/realtime where it adds value; ensure graceful timeouts and fallbacks.

ML Fundamentals, MLOps & Observability

• Evaluation & observability: instrument tracing and metrics, maintain golden datasets, run CI/PR-time evals, and A/B tests to quantify quality, latency, and cost.

• Operate at scale: monitor error budgets and spend; add prompt/response caching and degradation strategies; use queues/events for async work.

• Knowledge of ML fundamentals: Model development, fine-tuning, training pipelines, model evaluation, retraining strategies are a big plus.

Engineering & Collaboration

• Raise the bar: review code and prompts, improve docs/runbooks, mentor teammates, and share reusable patterns.

• Contracts with PHP services: define typed DTOs (OpenAPI/zod), version APIs, provide a small PHP client/SDK, and implement caching, timeouts, and circuit breakers on both sides.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineering guilds to define and ship AI-driven product capabilities.

• Contribute to best practices for AI safety, privacy, and responsible use: apply input/output validation, PII redaction, policy checks, jailbreak/abuse mitigations, and auditability across tenants.

You’d be a great fit for this role, if you:

• Have 3-5 years building backend services with Node/TypeScript, including production APIs and integrations.

• Have shipped LLM features: RAG, tool/function calling, agent workflows, and streaming chat.

• Big plus if you have experience building MCP servers/clients and integrating them into real product flows.

• Are comfortable with vector databases, MySQL, Redis, and queues/events—and can reason about latency, throughput, and cost.

• Design clean contracts and versioned APIs; you write tests across unit/integration/e2e plus eval suites.

• Care about safety, privacy, and multi-tenant access control; you document risks and mitigations.

• Communicate clearly, collaborate well with product/design and PHP guild, and write/speak fluent English.

• You’ll be at the core of our AI strategy, shaping how AI is embedded across our SaaS products.
