At NextEnergy Group, we are dedicated to generating a more sustainable future by leading the global transition to clean energy. Since our founding in 2007, we have become a major participant in the international solar sector, managing investment, asset development, and operations across more than eight countries. Our work spans everything from utility-scale solar projects to venture capital investments in environmental sustainability, all supported by our non-profit foundation. We are looking for a passionate professional to join our team and help us drive the innovation necessary to tackle global energy challenges.
About the Role
We are seeking an AI and Insights Lead to join us on a full-time basis. We value a flexible, agile mindset and are looking for someone who can thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate complex challenges into actionable analytical questions and project objectives.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain robust statistical models and machine learning algorithms to drive strategic decision-making.
- Communicate technical findings and insights clearly to non-technical audiences through effective reporting and data visualization.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- At least 6 years of experience in AI, ideally blending academic research with real-world business application.
- A Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, or data science.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R, along with experience in machine learning and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills in English.
- The legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
Location
This role is based in the United Kingdom. We operate on a hybrid model, which requires you to work from our central London office in Mayfair at least twice a week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the time.
Compensation and Benefits
We are committed to supporting our employees through a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
- Hybrid work arrangements to support work-life balance.
- Medical insurance via BUPA Healthcare for you and your qualifying dependents.
- A private pension scheme.
- 30 days of annual holiday, including three days during our festive shutdown.
- Access to electric vehicle leasing and cycle-to-work schemes.
- An annual discretionary bonus.
