Knix is a direct-to-consumer intimate apparel brand that is busy reinventing the industry for real life. Since our launch in 2013, we have become one of Canada's fastest-growing companies and a global leader in apparel innovation. We are currently seeking a Senior Activewear Designer to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis. This role is a vital part of our Product Design team, where you will own the entire development process from initial concept to final production, helping to drive the continued success of our active collection.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of original, innovative designs by collaborating with our design leadership to ensure every piece reflects our unique philosophy.
- Manage the end-to-end product development cycle, which includes conducting seasonal research, sketching, fabric exploration, and overseeing the prototyping process.
- Partner cross-functionally with our technical design, sourcing, and merchandising teams to ensure that all products meet our high standards for fit, quality, and price point while adhering to strict launch timelines.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design and at least 5 to 7 years of professional experience, specifically within the activewear space. You should possess a deep understanding of garment construction and a modern athletic aesthetic. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as Excel and Google Workspace, is essential. We value candidates who are self-starters with a keen eye for innovation, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex design processes with exceptional attention to detail.
