We are Knix, a brand dedicated to redefining intimacy and apparel through innovation and inclusivity. We are currently seeking a Senior Activewear Designer to join our team on a full-time basis in Canada. In this hybrid role, you will take ownership of the entire product design lifecycle, from initial concept through to final production. You will be a vital member of our Product Design Team, playing a key role in the expansion and success of our activewear collection.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership to develop original, innovative designs that align with our brand philosophy and resonate with our customers.
- Manage the creation of prototype samples, including specifying fabrics, trims, colors, and fit requirements while coordinating with technical design and sourcing teams.
- Partner with our textile innovation and merchandising teams to research new materials and ensure all designs meet our quality standards and target price points.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design.
- At least 5 to 7 years of professional design experience, with a specific focus on activewear.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as Excel and Google Workspace.
- Deep expertise in garment construction, product sketching, and concept ideation.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage complex processes and timelines effectively.
- A proactive, self-starting attitude with a passion for modern athletic aesthetics and material innovation.
